The $3.9 billion deal would add 42 television stations in 33 markets to the Baltimore-based Sinclair’s 173 TV stations in 81 markets, which it owns or runs. Early Monday morning stock trading had Sinclair’s stock up 7% to $39.60 and Tribune stock 6% higher to $42.51.

Alipay, owned by Jack Ma’s Ant Financial, reached a deal that will let its users shop at 4 million U.S. merchants served by payments processor First Data Corp., the companies said Monday in a joint statement. The rollout will begin with businesses that use First Data’s Clover products.

The new project, called Hyperleder Composer, is a modeling language based on JavaScript and with REST API support, that allows non-developers and developers to model their business network. The language also supports modeling of relationships and data validation rules.

Of 250 UK marketing executives surveyed by Jaywing, a data solutions provider, 95% deploy individual-level email personalization. Within that group, however, 40% of the emails 'are not personalized beyond ‘Hello, first name,’' Jaywing writes. And personalization is used sparingly in other channels: Direct mail is personalized by 43%, web sites by 37%, display ads by 20% and social media by 9% in social media.
